SUPPORTED HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS
Karuna Canada supports the humanitarian projects of Karuna-Shechen through Financial donations. See some of the project that are put in place by the team on the field, in Nepal and in India.
HEALTH
Karuna-Shechen provides medical services and health education to individuals and families through clinics, and mobile outreach programs. The people we serve live in remote nomad regions of Eastern Tibet, the outskirts and slums of Kathmandu, and in rural villages in India and Nepal. All of them belong to communities in great need of services.

EDUCATION
Karuna-Shechen works with local partners in under-served Himalayan communities to build new schools and improve the quality of education in existing schools. They also provide student scholarships, and support for disabled youth. Special emphasis is placed on the education and empowerment of women and young girls.

COMMUNITIES
Karuna-Shechen initiates and supports community development projects. They empower under-served local communities by giving them the tools they need to transform their lives, improve their livelihoods and reach sustainable harmony. “When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us.
